OUTSOURCING: THE KEY TO FINDING MORE TIME

Time and time again I enter conversations with other women and the most common question I receive is “How do you do it all?”, and I find myself responding with “I don’t know” or “I just do”.

I’ve been a mother for 14 years and I entered the workforce when I was 17 years old. Over the years, I’ve become a wife, mother of 2, a homeowner, entrepreneur, leader in my profession, and leader in my community. The kids are active in sports; volleyball, cheer, and taekwondo, to be specific. If I’m honest, sometimes I ask myself the same question “Tanisha, how do you manage?”. With all of the things above, in addition to finding time for myself; doing it all has become an art.

The fact of the matter is that no matter what you have on your plate; managing the household, supporting your family, and practicing self care should always remain the priority. Everything else is a choice. If you want to indulge, you have to identify solutions to support the lifestyle you desire.

Living the life you deserve can seem daunting, especially when wearing multiple hats and prioritization seems impossible. Overtime, I’ve learned to choose my battles, and to not sweat the small stuff. If I can outsource household and business tasks as a way to reclaim some of their valuable time, that is exactly what I am going to do!

In this post, we will explore the benefits of outsourcing and how it can help you lead a more balanced life.

1. More Time for Yourself and Your Family

When you outsource your household chores, you free up valuable time that you can use to pursue your hobbies, spend time with your family or even just relax. Instead of spending your weekends doing laundry or cleaning, you can take your family out for a fun activity or just enjoy some quality time together.

2. Reduced Stress and Fatigue

Household chores can be physically and mentally exhausting, leaving you feeling drained and stressed. By outsourcing these tasks, you can reduce your workload and alleviate some of the stress that comes with managing a household. This can lead to better physical and mental health, helping you feel more energized and focused. Consider automating your basic household necessities and business supplied using Amazon Subscriptions and/or Amazon Business. Things like body wash, shampoo, trash bags, dish detergent, ink, pens, paper, vitamins, toothpaste, and more are now on auto-pilot. You can schedule them to arrive on your schedule. Amazon will send you a reminder a week ahead of your scheduled delivery allowing you to skip, cancel, or add to your upcoming delivery. It’s one less thing for you to worry about.

3. Professional Results

When you outsource household chores to a professional service, you can expect high-quality results. Professional cleaners, for example, have the expertise and experience to clean your home efficiently and effectively. This means that your home will be cleaner and tidier than if you were to do it yourself. We’re fortunately enough to outsource all handyman services, lawn maintenance, and home cleaning. Outsourcing the 3 services, saves us more than 20 hours each month.

4. Cost-Effective

Outsourcing household chores may seem like an expensive luxury, but it can actually be cost-effective in the long run. When you consider the time and effort you save by outsourcing these tasks, it becomes clear that it’s a worthwhile investment. Additionally, many services offer competitive rates, making it affordable for most households. Two of my favorite outsourcing platforms are Shipt and Kroger. I use these platforms to purchase groceries for our home and oftentimes find myself spending less than what I would have spent had I walked the store and shopped for myself. When I’m in the store myself, I tend to purchase things I want in addition to the things I need. For my mothers, you know the cost of groceries increases when kids tag along with you.

Conclusion

Outsourcing household chores can be a game-changer for busy families and professionals. It allows you to reclaim your time, reduce stress and fatigue, and enjoy a more balanced life. Whether you need help with cleaning, laundry, cooking, or other household tasks, there’s a service out there that can meet your needs. So, why not give it a try and see how it can improve your quality of life?

Here are some companies to consider:

  • Shipt

  • Instacart

  • Kroger

  • Molly Maid

  • Fever

  • Pineapple Staffing

  • Ace Handyman

  • Amazon Subscriptions

Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.
